ST Reflection 2009 – Secondary 2NA / 2E
Term 1, Week 6 (9 Feb 09) Master of One (Life! People pg 4) Q1) What was Jack Neo’s vocation when he was serving the nation? Answer; Jack New was an infantry officer. He is a lieutenant who have been a quatermaster then a platoon commander at an infantry unit when he was serving the nation. Q2) “Hard work leads to success.” To what extend do you agree with this statement? Answer; I absolutely agree in this statement as I myself believe that working hard is the key to success. To be successful, ones have to put in alot of effort to achieve something that he/she have been trying to do so, to attain good result. To me, there's no point if the person is intelligent but lazy to do something. I rather be average and work hard then success just like the others. For an example, just take a look at Jack Neo. Im confident that he has been working real hard and now, he is the best known film-making. Jack Neo himself says it is from the result of hard work. I find jack Neo as one of the best good example to others. I strongly agree that hard work leads to success.

ST Reflection 1
ST Reflection 2009 – Secondary 2NA / 2E Term 1, Week 5 (2 Feb 09) Golfers, youths in brawl on green (HOME, pg 1) Q1) How did the teenagers trespass into Singapore Island Country Club? Answer; The teenagers trespass into Singapore's Island Country by mistake as they were taking a walk in the forested area near Mac Ritchie Reservoir to see the monkeys after a night of drinking at VivoCity and they were not aware of what they were doing, so by accidentally they wandered onto the golf course. Q2) Is underage drinking correct? Explain your answer. Answer; Underage drinking is very wrong as it can cause a person to be unaware of their actions. It is too, an offence as underaged drinking is against the law. Eventhough drinking may provide comfort or relief for a person after a bad day, it could also affect their health and they could end up in a messy situation. They might damage their major organs such as liver damage. Underage drinkers should be aware of the consequences of their actions. It is not right for ones to drink because it could harm themselves and could also harm others too. For example, if they were provoked while intoxicated, they might resort to violence and might seriously injure someone. |
